अधिकारियों ने एमसीएच में नए क्रिटिकल केयर कॉम्प्लेक्स की योजना बनाई

Kochi: A new critical care complex will soon be constructed at Government Medical College Hospital, Ernakulam. The construction of the new complex with an area of 40,000 sqft can be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 23.75 crore, the hospital authorities informed.
Four emergency trauma operation theatres, four minor operation theatres, 20 ICU beds, 50 high-dependency beds, etc., will come up in the new complex. The medical college which is the only government medical college in Ernakulam district lacks adequate emergency trauma operation theatres. There had been demands for setting up more such facilities in the medical college.Once the work on the complex is completed, casualty, pharmacy, etc. will be shifted to the building. As part of construction of the new complex, a team led by the officials of John Hopkins Programme for International Education in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, New Delhi, and National Health Mission visited the medical college on Wednesday.The team gave their nod for the land identified by the medical college authorities for constructing the new complex. The plan presented by the medical college authorities has also been approved by the team.
