Viral Video shows Doctors, CHC Hapur staff dancing to drum tunes as patients suffer

Hapur: A recent viral video showing doctors and staff at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district engaging in energetic dancing to drums while on duty, leaving patients unattended has sparked public anger and harsh criticism as patients reported feeling harassed.

The video, which is being widely shared on social media, shows doctors and hospital staff dancing to the tunes of drums even as the patients continue to suffer.

According to media reports, the doctors and staff attended the dance ceremony without attending to the patients while being on duty. The patients admitted at the hospital complained of the loud noise of drums but the doctors and staff alleged to have continued dancing.

It was reported that the arrangments of drums were made to celebrate the farewell of a female employee after her retirement. Some individual who was present caught the incident on camera, and the video went viral on social media.

In the video, the doctors and the staff could be seen joining the dance one by one and encouraging others to participate in the celebration. It also shows that the patients and caregivers standing by were seen observing and capturing the incident on record.

Meanwhile, there have been accusations that even though the patients were suffering, the doctors were negligent in not proceeding with the treatment, as per Kannadadunia news.

The incident is yet to gain the attention of the higher authorities and an action in this regard is pending.
