What is Duty –
The order No.F.1 (5)FD/Rules/201 0 dated 14.12.2012 issued by the Finance Department, Govt. of Rajasthan for clarifying if the period of Journey from residence to. office and vice versa is part of “Duty” of employees under various Regulations or not. Accordingly,
it is clarified that in the following cases an employee of Department shall be treated as on “Duty”:-
(1) The “Duty” starts at the hours Department’s employee report for “Duty” on a particular day or takes charge of the post and ends at the hours he left his duty point. Accordingly, the period of journey from residence to office and vice versa is not a part of “Duty”.
(2) The period of absence on tour-from headquarters begins at the hours on the day on which the Department’s employee actually leaves his residence/office and ends at the hours on. the day on which he returns thereto is “Duty” excluding the period of leave including casual leave, if any, availed during tour.
(3) A Department’s employee is to be treated on election duty as soon as he leaves his residence/office to report for any election related duty including training and until he reaches back his residence/office after performance of his election related duty. If any mishap takes place during this period, it should be treated as having occurred on election duty subject to the condition that there should be a casual connection between occurrence of injury/death and the election duty.
Types of Duty –
1. Breaking duty – 6 Hours (In 2 shifts; Morning & Evening both time)
2. Regular duty – 8 Hours (Morning or Evening)
3. Office duty – 9 Hours (1 hour lunch break)
4. Night duty – 12 Hours
HOSPITAL TIMINGS –
1 April – 30 September :
Morning – 08:00 am to 12:00 pm
Evening – 05:00 pm to 07:00 pm
1 October – 31 March :
Morning – 09:00 am to 01:00 pm
Evening – 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm
Sunday & Public Holidays :
Morning – 09:00 am to 11:00 am
Rotation duties will be applied in 24×7 opening institutes –
Morning – 08:00 am to 02:00 pm
Evening – 02:00 pm to 08:00 pm
Night – 08:00 pm to 08:00 am
